Qkids- A Dream Job Come True

I have been with Qkids for 6 months now, and I still love it. Just to give a little background about myself: I live in Nevada with my awesome husband and two children. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and started my nursing career in 2008. I've worked in many different areas including neurology, trauma, orthopedics, and research. My hobbies include crafting and crocheting.
To be honest, I've never felt so happy going to work than I do now. Waking up, even if it is at the crack of dawn, has been the easiest thing because I know that I'm going to be doing something I love- TEACHING. The cute kiddos are a bonus too! I mean, who wouldn't want to wake up to enthusiastic, happy, smiling kids?! You do get some who are not as cheery, but hey…it happens. We just have to roll with it, and sometimes, those kiddos become engaged and SMILE by the end of class! One of the greatest feelings, truly!
Many people have asked if what I do is REAL! I mean working from home, teaching kids, and completing a workday in less than 8 hours with extra time to spend with ones you love AND be able to check off things on your daily "to-do" list…sounds impossible, right???

I thought so too and was even still a bit skeptical during the demo interviews and trial lessons. It just seemed too good to be true. I so wanted it to be real after my trial lessons. I had so much fun, the kids AND parents were engaged, and I couldn't believe how quickly 30 minutes flew by. What job have you ever had that you wished you could stay at longer, and I don't mean to stay because you have to finish something? It is the BEST job!
Some hiccups occur when teaching online, such as internet issues, technical problems on both sides, and just things that are out of your control. It doesn’t happen often (at least in my experience), but when they do, the staff at Qkids are so understanding and supportive, that you just can’t help love but them even more.

Here is a list of why I love Qkids, and why you should join too:

  1. You get to work from home!!!
  2. It is fun!
  3. You can make your own schedule. (Note: you must be available to teach at least 12 classes/6hrs a week.)
  4. Qkids staff is amazing, supportive, and kind.
  5. Qkids books classes for you
  6. Flexible- if you aren't able to teach for whatever reason, you can request off using the phone app any time at least 5 hours BEFORE the class start time. If you have to cancel AFTER the 5-hour mark, because life happens, you are allowed up to 3 in a week to still be eligible for the attendance bonus.
  7. There is no monetary penalty if you have to miss a class!
  8. Potential for bonuses- an extra $1 for performance and another $1 for attendance (as long as you teach a minimum of 15 classes).  You can essentially make $8-$10 a class, OR $16-$20 an hour.
  9. Standby classes count as part of the 15 classes, even if they don’t convert
  10. Supportive teachers! There are many social media groups specifically for Qkids and the teachers who are active on the pages are SO helpful!!!
