Every Qkids teacher has a moment that stays with them. It can be a funny moment, a student finally mastering the lesson or just a profound moment that touches them across the distance. Here, Viki shares the moment that touched her. Enjoy.
Hello Qkids teachers and prospective teachers. My name is Viki and I have my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. I have been a Qkids teacher for nearly a year and it is the best job I have ever had! Every day, my life is enriched by experiencing a different culture and connecting with wonderful brilliant children from the other side of the world.

I wanted to take a few minutes to share a touching experience. Today, while I was teaching the story of “Cinderella” to a class of three boys and a girl, One of the boys said he didn’t like the story of “Cinderella”. I assumed he was trying to be cool and show how masculine he was. I was very surprised by his answer when I asked him why he didn’t like the story of “Cinderella”.
He said that he didn’t like the story of “Cinderella” because he didn’t like Cinderella’s father. I asked him why he didn’t like Cinderella’s father. He replied that Cinderella’s father knew Cinderella’s stepsisters and stepmother were mean and hurting her but he didn’t do anything to help her.
This was a very touching moment for me and I almost started to cry. Sometimes, the world around me seems like such a dark place. Seeing the light of a child sticking up for the little people warmed my heart. This young boy will grow up to be a man who values and respects women and children. This young boy also inspired the other boys in his class to do the right thing. It only takes one small act of kindness to become a giant wave of kindness.
Children are our future. Every young person I encounter who stands up for those who are being hurt restores my belief in the goodness in people. My students never cease to amaze me. I love this job. The students bring so much joy to my life. I am so lucky to work for such an amazing company and with such great students. Thank you Qkids administrators, parents and students.

Preparing Your Teaching Background Hi Qkids teachers! Hope you are having a good week. Today Momo wants to share with you some helpful tips about how to set up your awesome teaching background. Many of you already have great props to attract students' attention; however, your teaching background is equally important since students see it for the entire class. A messy, unorganized background will not only distract students but also negatively impact your teacher rating. Your teaching style, outfit, lighting, and background all factor into your overall class rating. Below are some points you should pay attention to if you want to improve your teaching background: 1. The room lighting must be bright enough for students to see you clearly. You should try out different angles in your room and find the sweet spot . Do not point your camera toward the ceiling or light since it will be too bright for students to look at you. 2. The ideal class background
