Today we hear from Francine about what Qkids means to her and how working online from home has changed her life.
Teacher Fran lives in Deerfield Beach, Florida with her husband and two-year-old son. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, a Master’s degree in Management and has a TESOL certification. She has been teaching with Qkids for nearly 9 months and loves every minute of it!
I'm a working mom, I work an average of 45 to 50 hours a week and I have to keep up with a 2.5-year-old little boy. I make great money at my 9 to 5 job and I am very thankful. Once you factor in a mortgage, bills, childcare, food and student loan payments there is rarely enough for extra. My husband and I were working to live and we weren't living much. I needed something to help reduce stress. I needed more money! I had started the application process with another ESL company, but they had so many hoops and long demo requirements it just was not feasible for my busy schedule. My thought process, if I have to do all of this to get hired, am I going to be able to keep up once hired. A year later, I found Qkids and it seemed so easy to get things done. Qkids makes the application process very straight forward and it can be done with just a few hours of preparation! Even getting my TESOL was quite easy and painless.
Qkids has given me so much in just 8 short months!!!! I plan on being here for a long time!
Qkids has helped me become a morning person. I used to sleep in until 7:30am most mornings. Now, my routine begins no later than 6am, thanks to having to meet the sun every morning and teach amazing students. This has helped me get much more organized in my household and has helped my husband and me tremendously. You can get so much more done when you get up early! This new routine also gives me more morning time with my son, which as a working mother, time is all I search for when it comes to him.
Being a teacher with Qkids has given me the chance to find a new passion. I love teaching and watching a child learn and grow. It is such a rewarding feeling to see a child understand a concept because of your teaching abilities. I truly look forward to teaching my students. It gives me time to explore a new passion in the comfort of my own home. In turn, it has made me a better mother. I have taught over 500 classes and I have learned how to be more patient and I have learned different techniques to help a child learn while having fun. Qkids has given me the chance to become a better tutor not only for my students but for my own child.
This company offers $16 to $20 an hour, for something that is fun and very easy with a little preparation. You never know what an extra $500 to $1000 a month can do for your budget until you are getting that amount every month. Qkids has allowed us to pay off bills. We have been able to sign our 2 years old up for soccer lessons, I have started a college fund and investment plan for our son's education that is paid monthly by my Qkids paycheck. We have been able to plan a summer vacation this summer to enjoy as a family and it has enabled me to pay for a gym membership that I only dreamed about before. My health has improved greatly since I started training with the new gym. All of this was made possible because of Qkids. I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach children, being given access to a great student portal and curriculum and to have the company book students for their teachers. From my research, Qkids makes it easy for teachers to be successful.

Preparing Your Teaching Background Hi Qkids teachers! Hope you are having a good week. Today Momo wants to share with you some helpful tips about how to set up your awesome teaching background. Many of you already have great props to attract students' attention; however, your teaching background is equally important since students see it for the entire class. A messy, unorganized background will not only distract students but also negatively impact your teacher rating. Your teaching style, outfit, lighting, and background all factor into your overall class rating. Below are some points you should pay attention to if you want to improve your teaching background: 1. The room lighting must be bright enough for students to see you clearly. You should try out different angles in your room and find the sweet spot . Do not point your camera toward the ceiling or light since it will be too bright for students to look at you. 2. The ideal class background
