What does Qkids mean to me?

Every Qkids teacher has their own story and unique reason for starting to work for us and we want to share them with you all so that they can inspire you too. Today teacher Crisonis tells us what Qkids means for her. My name is Crisonis Marte and l live in Boston, MA with my fiancée, our two kids, and our pet cat. I'm pursuing a degree in Business Management online as well. I've always had a passion and joy for being around kids, and teaching with Qkids has allowed me to grow that love every day. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy doing arts and crafts with my children and playing outside. I speak Spanish and English myself so I've always had an appreciation for language studies and the importance of being bilingual. This is something I try to instill in my own kids as well so the fact that I can help other children learn a second language online is very rewarding for me. Qkids means a chance to earn money doing something I truly love! There are plenty of people who have jobs…

Finding Your Purpose in Online ESL

Candice tells us how she uses teaching online to find her potential and live life to the maximum.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live to your fullest potential? To seek something with your heart, then find it when you are least expecting it? My name is Candace Hicks, and this is my story.
I am a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful toddlers, while also studying at college full time. Throughout my journey, I realized that I was missing something. I wanted more for my life than just to live every day with the same routines. I began searching online for jobs that I could do while being at home with my children. This is when I found the ESL world. It's more than just working with children in China to teach them a new language. It's investing yourself in the future of the world. Qkids has quickly shown me that they have gratitude for their teachers as well as their students.
I have been with Qkids for 5 months and I have enjoyed every second I have spent teaching these c…

Why Qkids? Why I Love Teaching Online

If you are looking to work from home, and love teaching children, Qkids is the company for you! Seriously, I am SO loving my experience. It is THE BEST!

Just to give a little background about myself: I live in Nevada with my awesome husband and two children. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and started my nursing career in 2008. I've worked in many different areas including neurology, trauma, orthopedics, and research. My hobbies include crafting and crocheting.

Being a nurse is fantastic. You meet so many people from different walks of life and are able to make a difference in their lives as well as their families’. Furthermore, you get to help improve someone’s quality of life. One of the things I loved most about nursing was the education part of it. You are constantly educating patients and their families regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and physical restrictions (if necessary) in hopes that when they are discharged from the hospital or clinic, they…

4 Tips For Teaching Advanced Students

Today Francine has chosen to share with us how she tackles teaching advanced students in the classroom. Read on for some great tips!
Teacher Fran lives in Deerfield Beach, Florida with her husband and two-year-old son. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, a Master’s Degree in Management and has a TESOL certification. She has been teaching with Qkids for nearly 9 months and loves every minute of it!
4 Tips for Teaching Advanced StudentsI have learned so much being a teacher with Qkids over the past 8 months. One of the common things that I find, many students are advanced. It makes classes flow easier when students are advanced but I have seen that many times it hurts with timing. An advanced student can speed through a lesson and then a new teacher is left scrambling to figure out how to fill the time. I have been in that position many times, in the beginning, it freaked me out. But Qkids provides all the tools needed to ensure you can extend a lesson and still make it fun…
