Hello teachers, and welcome to today's interview segment!

Helper Koby here with some super secret inside information! Okay, maybe it's not so secret.. 😊 but we wanted to answer some of your questions and give you perspective as to the inner workings of your company in the form of an interview! We hope you like knowing a little more about the behind the scenes to make it happen.

Today we have an interview with Gloria, tackling the difficulties and benefits of transitioning between the G series to the L series. If you like this type of content, please let us know. We would love to know your thoughts and suggestions for future interviews.

Interview With Gloria

How long have you been working with Qkids?

Gloria: A year and a half

What is your position within the company? Are you a trainer, recruiter, etc?

Gloria: I am the Learning Facilitator, Planner, and Liaison of the Coaching Department.

Recently, Qkids transitioned in a massive change from G series to L series. For the teachers who will no longer be able to experience G series, can you explain the differences between the G & L series?

Gloria: G series is the first generation of our product while L is the second. The difference between L and G is L lessons are much more well developed, both in terms of the class design, the art design and the program design. The after class exercises are much richer and more diversified, and the language points are better connected and progresses in such a way that will consolidate kids learning better.

Why did we transition to the L series?

Gloria: We wanted to better facilitate kids learning and teachers' teaching capabilities. We also wanted to achieve more satisfaction from both sides, and the L series addresses quite a lot of parent and teachers' concerns. It also takes into account a lot of their suggestions

Are you happy with how the L series has progressed? Is it working out well and meeting expectations? Is there anything you would change?

Gloria: Yes! I am very happy about the L series, it is basically meeting expectations. Still, we need to improve the system stability and try to make our teachers happier.

What are your goals with the company, and what do you feel is your greatest accomplishment?

Gloria: My goals are to learn and grow as a professional educator, and to better perfect interpersonal skills in order to be a very good learning facilitator to my teachers. (And to make money, hahaha πŸ˜„). I contributed and continue to contribute to the buildup and growth of the Guangzhou hiring team and the coaching team (branch site).

Are you happy with how the Holiday themed classes came out? Will there be more Holiday classes in the future? For Halloween, or Spring Festival, or Valentine’s Day, for example?

Gloria: Yes, the classes are very popular and well-received. In terms of future holiday classes, the course designer mentions theoretically speaking, yes there is a chance.

The hiring freeze was recently lifted! Are you excited for new teachers to join the family?

Gloria: Yes, very excited and I hope with the new training system (we transformed our way of orientation) that new teachers will find the software easier to navigate, the hiring and coaching staff more professional, and the overall teaching experience happier.

Recently, Qkids did a livestream to promote the holidays and show teacher’s what they mean to the company. Were you satisfied with how the livestream went?

Gloria: Haha, it seemed to have severe lagging problems in both sites, so my sound overlapped with Caroline's a lot! I am so sorry! Other than that, I am very satisfied with our performace, haha 😊.

Can you teach us how to write something in Chinese? And is there anything else you would like to add in or comment?

Gloriaζˆ‘δ»¬ηˆ±δ½ !新年快乐!εΏƒζƒ³δΊ‹ζˆ! Which means we love you! Happy new year and may all your wishes come true! We welcome the teachers to share your comments and ideas about how to perfect our service and there will be more teacher-related events coming soon. Keep alert, 😁

--- And that's it! Special thanks to Gloria for taking the time to answer these questions~ πŸ˜„πŸ’— Stay tuned for an upcoming interview involving our teachers and their perspectives! Is there anyone you would like to see interviewed? Are there any questions you have that we didn't reach? Ask below 😎

Thank you,

The Qkids Family

Qkids Teacher 101 - Preparing Your Teaching Background

Preparing Your Teaching Background Hi Qkids teachers!

Hope you are having a good week. Today Momo wants to share with you some helpful tips about how to set up your awesome teaching background.
Many of you already have great props to attract students' attention; however, your teaching background is equally important since students see it for the entire class. A messy, unorganized background will not only distract students but also negatively impact your teacher rating. Your teaching style, outfit, lighting, and background all factor into your overall class rating.

Below are some points you should pay attention to if you want to improve your teaching background: 1. The room lighting must be bright enough for students to see you clearly. You should try out different angles in your room and find the sweet spot. Do not point your camera toward the ceiling or light since it will be too bright for students to look at you.
2. The ideal class background is you facing against a wall. It can …
